SEAL Program

The SEAL Program at Mount Clear College

Our College offers a range of opportunities for our gifted and talented students and our SEAL program is just one of these.

This program will focus on

• Building students’ ability to take charge of their learning and personal and academic growth
• Encouraging the application of a Growth Mind Set and critical thinking skills
• Moving towards creating a more rounded program that focuses on enrichment opportunities and development of the whole student rather than academic acceleration
• Encouraging students to succeed in a variety of areas rather than just traditional academic subjects
• Supporting students to aspire to reach the pinnacle of their educational and personal development

We are currently exploring options for how Mount Clear College can offer students the opportunity to participate in programs which encourage:

• Participation in physical recreation and improvement in physical fitness and performance
• Development of personal interests and practical skills
• A strong sense of community spirit and responsibility to others
• A spirit of adventure and discovery
• We foresee students will have their schedule altered to incorporate successful completion of these goals.

In Term 3 we will be launching the evolved program. This will include details such as structure, curriculum, associated awards and programs, the application process and details about an Information Evening.
